Mashed Swede

Mashed Swede


  • 1 organic swede, peeled and diced
  • 1 organic potato, peeled and diced
  • 2-3 tablespoons organic butter
  • 60 ml organic milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Place the diced swede and potato in a large pot and cover with water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Drain the vegetables and return them to the pot.
  4. Add the butter, milk, salt, and pepper to the pot.
  5. Mash the vegetables with a potato masher or fork until they reach your desired consistency.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve the mashed swede hot as a side dish or as a main meal with some roasted vegetables or a protein of your choice.
